the stivo story

I love art, design, videogaming and sharks. Not quite sure what to make of all that?
Let me explain how it all started.

The web and I go waaay back.
We’re talking eye4u and Gabocorp era.

Quick Bio

To describe myself in 5 words: I’m just an artsy guy. And after 7 years at an arts high school, 4 years working on a Bachelor’s degree in design, and 5+ years of working with some of the best in the business, it’s funny to remember when my passion for interactive design first began. Back when I was busy embedding midis into pages on my geocities account, and learning how to make futuresplash intros. Back when my browser testing was done in Netscape Navigator.

Thankfully both I and the industry have matured since then. As technologies, authoring tools, and user savviness improve, so too are the abilities of interactive designers. This constantly shifting nature of the interactive field is what keeps me coming back for more, because there's ALWAYS a way to ‘make something work better’.

When I am able to draw myself away from the screen, I’m usually then glued to videogaming ones, or on a more rare occassion plunking away at my piano. Oh, plus I have a random obsession with sharks and oceanic life in general. Which is why if you say ‘Bait 3D?’ I say YES please.
