Handsets with character.

TELUS Mobility's Mike lineup consist of phones targeted towards construction and transportation industries. They tend to be more rugged than the sleeker consumer handsets, and also offer features like a 2 way radio. TELUS wanted to create a microsite to help potential customers understand how Mike could help their business.

Rather than lengthy text explanations, animated shorts were created that illustrate how Mike's features can work in different industries and situations. These helped to hit on the key benefits of using Mike without getting bogged down in complex details. An iconic illustrative style was used with voiceovers to compliment the no-nonsense attitude of the Mike brand.

Sorry, this site isn't live now.

Telling the story Detailed illustrated storyboards were created to help piece together how each scenario was going to be told. These were then taken into flash and turned into the final animated vignettes.
Rolling up it all up The animated shorts were then all rolled up into the final microsite.
By having it completely integrated in flash, jumping from clip to clip felt all the more fluid and easy.
A smart way to browse phones The handset catalogue provided only a select few key filters to make the shopping process efficient without becoming too granular.
